What is the Jump Start Scholarship Fund?

This scholarship provides funding to students who have faced challenges and adversities in their lives and who desire a brighter future by continuing their education through a vocational training program, certificate program, community college, or four-year college/university.

What are the applicant benefits and requirements?

The scholarship offers a $2,500 grant to individuals aged 18 and above, residing in Lowell or Lawrence (including surrounding communities). Eligibility requires a high school diploma, GED, or HISET. Exceptions may be considered for vocational and training programs without specific minimum education requirements.

The JUMP START Scholarship application for fall opens in October and April for
Fall and Spring enrollment. Exact dates will be updated on our website.

The scholarship is designed for trades or vocations in addition to college.

Yes, with enrollment verification.

Yes.  Scholarships applications will open in Spring and Fall timeframe.

The monies can be used towards any school related expense.

It’s recommended that you apply only after acceptance. The scholarship is offered twice a year which enables you to apply once accepted.
